Since the book has been finished, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect more on its content. I’ve also had some really good conversations with some others that have read it. One of the things I’ve recognized is that its not a sit down and read it “cover to cover” book.

The way STEP UP is written, it kind of walks a journey ,,, it is a journey of discovery. And the journey isn’t just my own. As you read the book, you’ll see things that are very familiar to your own journey. You’ll find other places that are “AHA” moments based upon where you are right now. There are things that will convict you. And there are other things that may prepare you for someplace you haven’t yet arrived.

I hope that you have a friend or two. Someone who you are walking a faith journey with. Pick up a copy for yourself and a copy to give to your friend. Read it together. Discuss, debate, dialog. Compare thoughts and notes. This is what we need to be doing as we grow as disciples and STEPUP is perfectly designed to trigger the kinds of conversations that disciples need to have.
